Conservatories Newark-on-Trent
All our conservatories are made from the ‘Kommerling C70 System’ just like all the other windows and doors that we can install in your home. Of course, our conservatories also come with the same guarantees, security and colour options that all our windows and doors are available in. The Kommerling C70 system comes with Ogee glazing beads and chamfered edges. Just like our windows and doors, we can provide you with conservatories in a range of finishes from, plain white, woodgrain finishes of Rosewood and Golden Oak finshes and the colour bonded finishes of 180+ RAL colours, as well as any of the Farrow & Ball and The Little Paint Company colours. You could even have a different colour outside, to the out!
Conservatory Basework
While conservatories do not normally need to be built in accordance with certain building regulations, at Sherwood Windows we always ensure that they are to guarantee that there will be no future problems. All our dwarf walls are cavity insulated and if you request a brick finish then we will do our best to match any existing bricks. Inside the conservatory you can choose between having a brick finish or plaster the walls and then decorate them. Thanks to all these options all the conservatories that we build are beautiful additions to your home. story and let your users know a little more about you.
Conservatory Roof Glazing
Many people forget the importance of the roof when designing conservatories. However, at Sherwood Windows we take care to make sure it is of the highest possible quality. The most popular choice for conservatory roofs in the past has been 35mm polycarbonate in clear, opaque and bronze. One important factor to consider is reducing the heat build-up inside your conservatory. In order to prevent it becoming too hot inside we can offer the ‘Tec-Sun’, this is a highly reflective roofing material which has excellent solar properties. Due to advances in the technology of the glass which is now available, the problems usually associated with glass roofs have been solved. These units will prevent your conservatory becoming too hot in the summer and ensure that the glass roof looks clean all the time. Customers can benefit from solar control glass in either blue, green tint or neutral with softcoat self-cleaning glass, warm edge spacer and argon gas filled glass which gives a U value of 1.0.We also install the new Therma-Roof which is a aluminium solid roof system which has the tiled roof appearance from outside, and vaulted ceiling which is generally plastered finish. This roof system can be retro fitted to existing conservatories due to its very light construction, turning a redundant, cold in winter and too hot in summer conservatory into a comfortable living space.
Conservatories Side Frames
All of our side frames have double glazing and the lower panes are glazed with 4mm toughened safety glass.
Ventilation and heating
Another feature that you will want in the summer is a number of good sized opening windows. We recommend having lower openers as well as small top openers (rather than just a few top openers), if possible to let the cooler air in the bottom and the hot air goes out the top openers. It is also good recommend to install a roof vent to let the rising hot air out. Conversely, in the winter heating is often necessary. Radiators piped in from an existing central heating system are the most economical way to heat your conservatory. Sherwood Windows can offer a number of solutions. We can install electric under floor heating, which is NOT just a background form of heating installed under the ceramic tiles. It is installed under the concrete screed (minimum of 50mm) acting as a large storage heater the size of the whole conservatory floor. The nice feature with this form of heating is there is nothing visual, and all walls are clear. There is also electric convector panel heaters or, for maximum climate control, air conditioning unit which can provide both heating or cooling depending on your need.
